Telemedicine for Orthopaedic

Telemedicine is for doctors who are frequently on the go and wish to diagnose cases on the fly.

20/20 Imaging supports two methods of achieving telemedicine--

"Push" exams to the doctor

After an initial configuration, technologists simply push exams to a doctor's location via several mouse clicks. he exams travel to their destination using any configured network media including cable modem, DSL, ISDN, etc.

The distant doctor who has a 20/20 Imaging Onyx-RAD Telerad Viewer listens for and then receives the incoming exams. After receiving the data, the new exams are ready for viewing.

"Pull" exams from the Server

Doctors can use Onyx-RAD ePatient to connect to a remote Onyx-RAD Server, locate the exam(s) to read, and “pull” them from the Server using just a few mouse clicks. When pulling an exam, a progress meter is visible which indicates exactly how much time a transfer will take. Exams can also be pulled via “live load,” where individual images in an exam appear on screen as soon as they are transferred, thus allowing a doctor to quickly diagnose pathology without waiting for the rest of the images to transfer.
